Hi, I am Jyssica the owner of the Zen Goddess Shop and The Zen doula education and services .  I chose the word Zen for my businesses, because to me it means peace and that is what I want to embody for women especially my sisters,  black women.  I want to teach my customers how to show up for themselves. In a way I was my first customer. In 2019 I was going through the ending of my marriage while carrying my 2nd child  and I realized how much I had been ignoring my own needs and my own self care. This self care turned into a self discovery journey, which lead to a spiritual journey which changed my ENTIRE  life. I realized  I wanted to help other women like me get in touch with themselves in a way that is not alway easy for black women in our society. So in 2021 I opened up shop and started sharing my products with all of you.

My passion for doula care began in 2016 during my first pregnancy. While I fell in love with the transition into motherhood. My eyes where open to the gaps our health care system has when is comes to caring for the expectant and postpartum mothers. Which led me to learn everything I could about the beautifully intricate design of pregnancy and birth. Since then I have trained as a full spectrum doula (birth, postpartum, and lactation support). And began to educate and assist expectant parents and their partners in bringing their little humans earth side.
